Serving the Lord With Gladness....

UMBC loves the Lord our God. We are sharing this love with everyone we encounter.

We are located in the growing and diverse Longfellow Community of Kansas City. Our mission is to reach those who may not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life and of His love for all mankind.  We believe having a relationship with Jesus Christ is essential to raising healthy families and growing healthy communities. We teach the Word of God; knowing that once the Word is heard it will be effective.  We will to minister to the whole person meeting their spiritual needs as well as the physical needs.  We know and trust God and His Word. He will bless us and impact the people we ministry to. They, too, will be empowered to impact others in their homes, families and communities. We are a safe haven for all who enter. 'Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.' Matthew 11:28

God's Plan of Salvation

1. Admit that you are a sinner and need to be saved. (No one is good enough to go to Heaven on his own merit. No matter how much good we do, we still fall short.) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. - Romans 3:23 KJV

2. Realize the penalty for sin, repent and be willing to turn from your sin. (Just as there are wages for good, there is punishment for sin. The penalty for our sin is eternal punishment in a place called Hell.) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Romans 6:23 KJV

3. Believe that Christ died for you on the cross of Calvary. (Christ great love for us was shown when He died on the cross to pay our sin.) For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:6‭-‬8 KJV

4. Receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour into your heart and life through prayer.

(Everlasting life is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith.) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. - Romans 10:13 KJV

Prayer of Salvation:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I need you. I believe that you died on the cross and arose from the grave for me. Forgive me of my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life to you. I receive you as my Saviour, come into my life and save me. Thank you for what you did on the cross for me. Amen.”
